I am back to blogging.

just for the record

what u quote in your header is from mathew 11:28

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

It is not really a call to serve just about anyone or anything,

firstly jesus is calling those who are weak and heavy laden towards himself "I WILL GIVE YOU REST" he says....

secondly...the exact words are 'take my yoke' this has special significance...

in farming parlance

a young bull is yoked to the same plough with an older experienced bull so that it can learn from
the older one and eventually be able to work on its own!

similarly jesus is asking us(those who wanted his rest) to share his yoke with him and learn to be like him!

he goes on to say he's 'gentle and lowly'...which means he wont be like a real farmer who is cruel and beats the bull when he does not comply!

And if u say jesus was meant to be a role model and not to be worshiped....

then you'd be going against 90% of what jesus ever said...

jesus never missed and oppurtunity to declare that he IS the son of GOD....

Either you believe him for all he says or not believe anything he ever said. Selective believing is calling him a LIAR for the other things he did say!

I do not know what your faith speaks of Him. But in my Journey, I choose what I feel is right.

You see man and time can distort even the most sacred of things.

Hi karan, good to see you back.

And reading the first two comments, I'm reminded of my early blogging days. There was a similar guy, who had very strong orthodox christian views--he'd comment frequently on my blog, distorting(?) and concocting his own versions of Christ's teachings. And I'd often pull his legs by posting something spicy and the next moment, he'd jump and dash off a comment.
